The PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level certifications accept EFR courses as meeting their CPR and first aid training requirements. Most Emergency First Response Instructors are also PADI Instructors.
The following EFR courses are based on widely accepted medical emergency treatment standards.
Primary Care (CPR) – This course teaches you the procedures and methods for dealing with crises that pose a threat to your life. You’ll learn eight techniques for helping patients who aren’t breathing, aren’t beating, could have spinal injuries, might be in shock, or might be bleeding severely. In order to give the patient the best chance of survival while you wait for emergency medical assistance, you’ll learn how to conduct CPR and keep an eye on them.
Secondary Care – This course teaches you how to administer first aid that lessens discomfort and lowers the risk of future injury because many medical illnesses are not life-threatening and emergency medical services can occasionally be delayed or unavailable. You’ll get experience bandaging and splinting while learning how to evaluate a range of diseases and injuries.
Care for Children – This course teaches learners how to provide emergency care for infants and children in the event of a medical emergency. It is intended for people who work with children or who frequently have to deal with emergencies affecting children. This training frequently runs concurrently with courses in primary care (CPR) and secondary care (first aid).
CPR & AED – This course emphasizes teaching participants how to utilize an AED and CPR (automated external defibrillator). The CPR & AED course satisfies the need when the workplace or regulatory regulations request this training. The First Aid at Work programs frequently incorporates this training.
Refresher on EFR– Every 24 months, it’s a good idea to brush up on your CPR and first aid knowledge. That’s what the EFR Refresher course is meant to do. The training helps you to keep current and prepared to help when necessary by concentrating on important skills.
Emergency First Aid The EFR Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) course’s individual study component may be finished quickly and easily with the help of the Primary and Secondary Care eLearning. The Emergency Care Reference Section and a digital copy of the Skills Workbook for use in class are also included.
