The second module of the PADI Tec Deep Diver course. Increase your maximum depth to 45 metres (145 feet). Learn to plan & execute repetitive decompression dives using a single stage/decompression cylinder.

The PADI Tec 45 course is the second stage of the entire PADI Tec Deep Diver curriculum. You’ll learn to plan and carry out recurrent decompression dives utilizing a single stage/decompression cylinder and increase your maximum depth limit to 45 meters/145 feet. You are placed in a full-featured, back mount or side mount Tec diving equipment. Additionally, you’ll perform accelerated decompression dives with either pure oxygen or EANx. You will take on the challenge and decide to become a technical diver in this course.

You must: in order to register for the Tec 45 course.

  • the PADI Tec 40 certification
  • PADI Rescue Diver
  • Have completed at least 50 dives, at least 12 of which must have been enriched air nitrox dives and six of which must have been dives deeper than 30 meters.
  • age of majority is 18 years.
  • own a medical statement that has been signed by a doctor within the last year.

Ask your Tec Deep Instructor whether your qualifications from other diver training companies qualify.

Three knowledge development portions, three practical application sessions, and four open water dives make up your Tec 45 training. Using the knowledge you gained from the Tec 40 course as a foundation, you concentrate on the operation, upkeep, and related problems of Tec diving gear. You keep calculating rapid decompression pauses and fine-tuning gas planning. Additionally, you develop technical diver thinking skills.
