One of the numerous PADI specializations that Shamandura diving provides is the Deep Diver Course. Each specialization has been created to help you develop your abilities in enjoyable and secure ways in deeper water. With this training, you may dive down to a maximum depth of 40 meters (Open Water gets you down to only 18m).
You’ll perform three amazing dives during your training. Here you can discover resident Manta Rays, Shamandura’s most brilliant reefs, and a good chance of seeing the fabled Mola Mola, usually between July and October! The slope coral reefs are perfect for deep diving, and the beach’s varied environments will fascinate and test you even more. Deeper waters, a variety of currents, and experiences will help you advance as a skilled and seasoned diver.
In this course, you will learn:
- Skills and techniques needed to safely dive in the deeper range of 30-40m (100 -130 ft).
- Deep scuba diving equipment considerations
- Safety considerations and the planning of a deeper dive
- What is Decompression Sickness and nitrogen narcosis and how do we deal with it
- What happens to your body at greater depth and how to dive safely

Along with the rest of your basic diving gear, you’ll need a dive computer. Additionally suggested is a slate and diving light. Other equipment suitable for nearby deep diving may be recommended by your PADI Instructor and the personnel at Shamandura Dive Resort.
